Upgrade method from 1.9.0.1 to 1.9.2.1 - Connection Manager?

Hello all, 

I'm looking to see if we can be succesful upgrading our site from CE ver 1.9.0.1 to the latest release (1.9.2.1) . 

Haven't attempted this via Connection Manager before and I'm curious if others have experience. 

 

Any input / recommendations / warning of landmines would be appreciated!

This is a relatively minor upgrade.

Doing it through connect is fine but make sure of a couple of things.

 

1. You have backed up your database and files

2. Put your store in maintenance mode (the connect manager should do this for you)

Hello @SFeher,

Upgrade doing from connect manager is safe as you are upgrading from 1.9.1 to 1.9.2.

Before upgrading the store take the whole store files backup as well as database backup.

This is the safe adnd secure method.
