after upgrade to 1.9.3 error 503 page look bad

Hey

Just upgrading CE 1.9.2.4 to 1.9.3.

Our site is under construction, so the site is put under maintance.flag

We had a customized error 503 page, but after the upgrade it no longer shows the design and images. Just the plain text.

I have tried to go back to the Magento standard, but  without any lock.

It's like the page.phtml isn't loaded, just the 503.phtml.

If I visit the frontpage, the design is missing [see here]

If I visit direct link to error 503, the design is show [see here] (works in MS Egde, not in Google Chrome)

How do I solve it?

What you see in var/log (system.log and exception.log)?

I do not see the var/log.

I have followling folders in Var:

cache

package

report

session

See solved issues in url1, url2  I think,  problem in youre theme or server configuration.

Loosing images and information is common. Did you check solution from this friend and make something right for your site? If it is not stable, may you try magento upgrade guide.
