Activate magento 2.3.1 pagebuilder user guide missing

How do I activate the page builder in magento 2.3.1 ?

My settings in Stores ==> Settings ==> Configuration ==> General ==> Content Management

Enable WYSIWYG Editor > Enabled by Default

WYSIWYG Editor             > TinyMCE 4

Use Static URLs for Media Content in WYSIWYG > No

Nothing happens.

It is very annoying and time consuming to find out how such a basic new feature in magento 2.3.1 could be activated.

Some documentation or user manual would be helpful.

Has someone managed to activate the Page Builder, can you provide me detailed explanation how you did activate this feature?

Hey,

I believe you are using Magento Open Source (Magento Free Version). PageBuilder is currently not available for Magento Opensource version. In few weeks it may be available for Magento Opensource (Free / Community version). However it will be paid and can be purchased from Magento Market placed.

This is  a major Disappointment.

Where is this mentioned?

I always believed this was coming inside this 2.3.1 version for free.

I feel misled.

There is no documentation, no e-mail advertising this would be a payed option.

Only : "Page Builder is coming to magento 2.3" is promoted.

Not a "A payed version of the Page Builder feature is coming to magento 2.3"

So no this should be communicated (better) to the Open source community and users.

If i knew this a would have considered other options to speed up the progress.

And i think i am not the only one who is disappointed about this.

No words about payed versions for the open source version.

@AnonymousI can understand the frustration. Here are more details on it. This was announced last year. Please the screenshot below of their launch plan.

Under content menu there is no menu for PageBuilder in Community Edition.

I think it's important to clarify situation about page builder. 
I contacted Magento about this builder cause I was waiting for it from a long time. 

And the answer is : The builder is no longer intended for the community version.

If I believe the answer I got, it's absolutely not planned.

Below is the answer obtained by a Magento member:

Hi Florian,
PageBuilder is commerce exclusive feature. There is no plans to make it available for Community in foreseeable future.

I completely understand your confusion with the plans around PageBuilder availability. Back in early 2018 there was a plan to make it available as marketplace extension (that I communicated at Imagine 2018) that was reconsidered later due to technical limitations and shifted business priorities.
