Batch Image Sync?

I have to admit I may be asking about something that may not be a native magento function, but I want to ask anyways. We are a wholesale supply house that uses Magento as our front end to our ERP system. We have about 9K products and the images are coming into our ERP via externally hosted URLs

I am being told that to grab the "new" images I have to click the "Sync Images" button in each products admin page. I find this a bit cumbersome if you have 1000s of image that need synced. Is there a way to do this via an SSH command or a SQL command?

Anyone ever deal with something similar? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

@james_derosaNot sure how things are integrated and implemented. What you are asking is reasonable ask and must be doable without a lot of effort. You already have functionality build to sync the image from ERP to Magento. You have to make is automated. Create a cron / scheduler and the same functionality to run frequently or in Bulk instead of 1 by 1 manually.
