Change/extend search by keyword functionality orders grid Magento 2 backend

Hi guys, does anyone know if it's possible to edit the 'search by keyword' functionality in the Magento orders backend?

What I am trying to solve is the following:
We have orders with the following order ID 000009934
When searching on a part of the order ID, for example 9934 (since we don't want to type all the 0's over and over again).
But when doing so it's not finding the order, we have to type the full order ID to get a result.

Sidenote:
The above is possible when opening the filter and typing in the ID field. But since our customer is mostly using the 'search by keyboard' field we're wondering if this is possible to change.

Please try below steps:

1. Click on "Filter"

2. Enter order id without zero in field "ID"

3. Click on "Apply Filter"

I am already aware of the possibility to do this with the filter (see my 'sidenote').

Although I want to achieve this with the search by keyword field.
