Color filter setup with magento 2.3.3

Hi there,

I am trying to setup the color filter for my website, but can't really find the way to make it work.

First I want my product listing only shows the basic color like

Category

Black

Red

Yellow

Blue

However, each brand may name the color difference.

Ruby, Red (they both are considered red)

Black, Grey (should be under black)

Yellow, orange (both should be Yellow)

So if I using the basic setup the color as an attribute in the product the filter will be useless, when my customer clicks on the black color the grey will not show, and I will have too many colors on the filter. But I can't really use the black color on a product because they may come with gray color for the same product. So, how do I set up additional attributes only works with the category filter but not shows in the product info page?

Hello @lifecorners 

Please add one more attribute and set it in the product with the respected value. the configuration of the attribute must be in filterable on front.
