Greetings Mangentonians! How do I change the domain name/URL of an exisiting site please?

Greetings I have been given a magento site that is not in operation to use and would like to change the existing domain www.whippedcreamchargers.co.uk to another domain... any advice would be truly appreciated it. Thank you, Albere

Hello @albere_hanna

You can change domain name in Magento 

• On the Admin Slidebar, select Stores
• Select Configuration
• Select General
• Then choose Web on navigation menu
• Expand the Base URL section For example, you want to change the current domain 192.168.1.100, you should replace it with the new one.

• Similarly, do the same to change the Secure Base URL
• Click Save Config to finish

If you want to change domain from server end you have to configure DNS of the new domain to hosting server DNS.
