How to send newsletter to a customer group or type?

Hi there,

Is there a way to send newsletter to a specific customer group or type?

I would like to define groups for customer to send different type of newsletters but it seems that it is not possible at the moment even if, when a customer or guest subscribe for the newsletter, it is automatically assigned to a type (customer, guest).

Thanks for the reply, my mistake, Magento 2.1.

I would need help to build an extension for sanding newsletter to groups of customer, using existing customer groups or building a new gruoping extension.

In fact in the standard it is not possible. You can only send newsletter to all customer who subscribes.
