Magento 2.3.5 Category Custom Layout Update

Hello. Need a help with Custom Layout Update for category. In admin>category>design the drop down field Custom Layout Update has no default option and no label [store view]. 

Whats wrong? Any help please?

Thank you. But it is a general info.  In my case its impossible to choose either "no update" or "use existing"  from drop down. This field is empty, no options at all
