Magento 2 - Layered Navigation / Filtering not working as expected

Hi,

We have the Shop Category, and a number of sub categories namely:

- Tops

- Bottoms

- One Pieces

- Spring/Summer

- Signature Series

Spring/Summer and Signature Series are "Collections" (we are an online children's apparel vendor).

Layered Navigation / Filtering seems to be working on all pages EXCEPT the Signature Series page. This collection only comes in White (aka Cotton), Black (aka Onyx) and Heathered Gray (aka Stone). When we click into this collection it shows the wrong color swatches for filtering -> it does NOT show Onyx and Stone but DOES shoe Sunset, Ocean, Salmon and Sky, all of which are Spring/Summer colors and NOT Signature Series Colors.

The filtering does seem to be working at the Shop level, and also if we click through to the Spring/Summer collection/catalog. 

Setup:

Stores -> Attributes -> Products -> Color -> Storefront Properties:

- Use in Layered Navigation: Filterable (with results)

- Use in Search Results Layered Navigation: No

Stores -> Attributes -> Products -> Size -> Storefront Properties:

- Use in Layered Navigation: Filterable (no results)

- Use in Search Results Layered Navigation: No

I have gone through both category URLs and checked the filter with switching with different color options on both categories.

As I have checked I found filter seems working fine on signature-series too. 

On the Signature series category, there is showing 12 products on PLP page. The filter seems working well with all these 12 products.

If I check with Yellow filter it shows the product that is assigned with yellow variations in the signature series category. I noticed that the Image looks different, not yellow on the PLP filter.

When I go to PDP page The Yellow variations found. 

So it may quite be confusing for the customer when they filter with yellow and show product with Gray image on the filter result.

For more information, you can check the category products that you have assigned on the SIgnature series category.

Hi there,

I appreciate you getting back to me, but it seems you have misunderstood
me.
The Filtered Nav is working yes, BUT *it is displaying the wrong colors in
the signature series. *

Ex. our signature series only comes in
cotton white
onyx black
stone grey

As of now, the filtered Nav for this catalog is showing:
cotton white
sky blue
salmon pink
ocean blue
sunset yellow

I need to get the filtered nav to show the CORRECT colors (white/black/grey
only) and am unsure as to why the wrong colors (sky/salmon/ocean/sunset)
are showing. I have looked at each configurable product and simple product
and they are all assigned to the correct catalog.
Can you please help us find a solution to this issue?
