I am new to Magento and I am working in Magento 2.3 and I need to get the shipping rate to calculate accurately in UPS as well as be able to print shipping/postage labels. I have the credentials for UPS already set but the rates do not match what I get on the ups.com website - any thoughts why?
This new version Magento offers “Magento Shipping” and I wonder if this option can help me with that. I would like to get like sandbox type access to try it out but can't seem to locate where I get credentials.
In then Magento 2.3 admin, where the "magento shipping" can be activated, there is a "Request Shipping Account" link which I clicked on and filled the form and I also created and account with Magento, but can't locate where the API Endpoint, Account ID and API token are. There is a tab that says "Download Access Token" and that generates a "token" number which might be it, is it? Not clear - Where can I locate the rest of the credentials so that I can try it out and see if this is the solution I need?
Any help is appreciated.
Does anyone know where I can reach out to get feedback?

Thank you. I have UPS configure but the rates are not matching up with actual cost of the packages sent.
Do you have test account setup on the Magento? In test account rates will be higher and different.
If you have live account setup and running your module in live mode and having the issue then make sure you have the same source and destination zip in Magento and on UPS website from where you are comparing.

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate your time.
I am not using a test account - I am using my actual UPS account and set live account to yes and Live mode to yes.
I go through and make a purchase and go through the cart and the rates I am getting are off from what I am getting at the actual ups.com website. I am using the exact same source and destination zip codes
Thanks
Do you have proper weight configured?
How much you are off? Fixed amount or random?
Enable the log and have a look that all the data matches with the data you are entering on the UPS website.
Are you adding a handling fee by mistake which is not added on the UPS?
Do you have some mis-configuration at default and website scope?
Make sure to clear cache if you made any update in the configuration.

Great Questions!
Do you have proper weight configured?
I believe I do, the site was originally in OpenCart and was working fine and had no shipping cost issues. All the product weights are the same as they were before.

I have the log enabled but must be honest, I don’t know how to make sense of it.
Are you adding a handling fee by mistake which is not added on the UPS?
No handling fee is being applied
Do you have some mis-configuration at default and website scope?
What should I be checking for? Mis-configured product weight?
Make sure to clear cache if you made any update in the configuration.
Yes, always.
These are the settings to where information is being pulled from
UPS Type: United Parcel Service XML
Gateway XML URL: https://onlinetools.ups.com/ups.app/xml/Rate
Tracking XML URL: https://www.ups.com/ups.app/xml/Track
@msauersmarYou are getting the cheaper rate which is fine. The reason you are getting the cheaper rate is because you are signed up with UPS.

That is the problem - I collect less than what my actual cost is - so depending on the shipping method used, I lose anywhere 3 to 20+
