Missing Backend » System » Tools » Compilation in my magento 2.1.8 (dev mode)
Hello Tech support,
I am new to magento 2.1.8 and I am trying to install extensions. Many of the extension install instructions state to disable compilation from the admin backend. I cannot find my compiler at: Backend » System » Tools » Compilation. Is there something I need to add/correct with my magento install to make this show up? Also, what is the command line option to enable/disable the compiler?

I don't believe this option is available anymore in Magento 2. It was something available in Magento 1 but was no longer recommended.
