Phone order on Magento 2.0

Hi,

We want to understand taking phone order from admin? Does it must have to be invoiced after submitting order? Does submit order does not capture payment after we hit 'Submit Order'.

Are there two steps?

1- Submit Order

2- Invoice and Capture Payment?

Does Magento 1.0 also work like this? Can someone please confirm?

Hello @farzana_rashid,

Yes. You have first submitted order then you can create an invoice and shipment. Suppose you are capturing amount then an invoice will be generated after amount capture. If you have placed the order by using COD payment method then you have to create an invoice. Magento 1 and 2 both are working same.
