Hi All,
As per the Magento guide there should be an option to limit sales to specific members. However in the Admin panel there is no such an option to choose particular customers for whom private sales are visible. Does anyone know how to set up a separate Sale Page to could be visible for a specific group of customers?
Would the Sale Page be a separate category? How to choose a Customer Group that will be able to see the sale?
Thanks!
Solved! Go to Solution.
You need to create customer group based on customer group you need to assign category to only specific customer group.
Now Category Permissions section. Then, do the following:
For a multisite installation, choose the Website where the category permissions apply.
Choose the Customer Group and save.
Private Sales is the feature of Magento Commerce and Magento cloud editions. Its not display in Magento Opensource(Community edition).
You can check Magento Private Sales options from below link,
https://docs.magento.com/m2/ee/user_guide/marketing/events-private-sales.html
Private sales is a feature of commerce edition(Enterprise Edition) of magento 2 !
Its not available for open source edition (Community edition).
if you are using open source edition then this option is not available for you !
For that you required to subscribe commerce edition (enterprise edition).
Hope it helps !
@Manthan Dave We are using the Enterprise Edition of Magento 2
ok - i understand , so here you would like to create a custom catalog/products/categories for specific customer group ? and that products is only available for specific customer group ? this is what you wanted to achieved ?
Then you need to use - Shared Catalog functionality of enterprise edition - where you can create a custom catalog for specific customer group/company - here i am sharing link for the same - https://docs.magento.com/m2/b2b/user_guide/catalog/catalog-shared.html
Actually the functionality you mention - which is related to B2B module of Enterprise Edition(Commerce Edition) called - Shared Catalog , where each company considered as a customer group and Shared catalog will be generated for that specific company/customer group
Hope it helps !
