Related Products by Category

Using 2.4, I need to add Related Products by Category, but can't seem to find a way to do that, other than one by one. Is there a system-designed way to do this?

We have a category of products that have unrelated sku's, unrelated descriptions (i.e. I can't easily grab them other than going through my catalog product by product to include them on each product's Related Products function).

It's obviously very time-consuming to do this by hand, and would be great if I could simply select the category that these products belong to and include them in the Related Products section. 

Same would apply potential to Cross-Sell and Upsell....

@Mike L - SJC currently default magento doesn't provide this functionality to select the products according to category, so you have to select the products one by one or as per sku.

There are native features for setting rules for Related Products, but these are only available with Magento Commerce (not Magento Open Source): https://docs.magento.com/user-guide/marketing/product-related-rules.html

If you're using Magento Open Source (formerly known as Community Edition or CE), you can consider an extension for this, such as:

Additionally, there are SaaS solutions that can automatically relate products based on rules or AI. Examples include site search providers like Searchspring and experience personalization platforms like HiConversion.
