Shipping Tax Options

I know many will be breaking up for Easter very soon, but thought I would try anyway..........

I am based in the UK and have products with 20% VAT (tax) and other products with 0% tax

20% Taxable products shipped to the UK and EU Should also have 20% tax applied to the shipping
0% Taxable products shipped to the UK and EU Should also have 0% tax applied to the shipping

How do I set up shipping to only apply tax if there are any taxable items in the cart?

I've noticed that similar questions have been asked previously but none answered that didn't involve buying an expensive extension.

@andrew_corbettI belive you can achieve the same as below:

Have 2 Tax classes setup. For example:

1. 20% Tax

2. 0% Tax

Assign 20% tax class to the product on which it applies.

Assign 0% tax class to the product it applies.

In configuration settings for Tax. Set Shipping Tax class as "20% Tax" class. Now Shipping tax will apply to the product which has Taxable class as 20%.

Won't setting shipping tax class to "20% Tax" also apply tax to the shipping of 0% items?
