There is no .htaccess file in root folder in Magento 2..0.4

Hi

I am trying to setup multiple Domain , which need .htaccess file to be edited with some code but I couldn't find this file in the root directory. I am using Ubanto12.0 and Apache2 webserver.

I had the same issue with 1.9, but I copied this .htaccess file from downloaded folder to root folder of the website and it was working fine. But Magento 2.0.4 dont have this file at all in its downloaded folder too. Please help

The .htaccess file is present in the Magento 2 code base: https://github.com/magento/magento2/blob/2.0.4/.htaccess

I think you have just lost it (or it is invisible because of the name starting with the dot).
