Building a Magento 2 server

Building a Magento 2 server

Hi,

I have a server in a datacenter that my boss wants to use for our Magento installation. What hosting environment should I build and OS do you suggest I use for Magento 2.4.3? My boss does not want to go to a hosted set up.

Thanks

Pete

Re: Building a Magento 2 server

First things first, we need a web server. Personally, I use Digital Ocean 216 for all of my Development Servers. The costs are reasonable and their services are spot-on. You can literally create a server in minutes. At the time of recording this, I have 8 servers running with them.

Re: Building a Magento 2 server

When setting up a server for Magento 2, it’s important to focus on speed, security, and scalability. The server should be properly configured with Apache or Nginx, the recommended PHP version, MySQL, and all necessary Magento 2 requirements. Optimizations like SSL, regular backups, and caching are also essential for smooth performance.

If you're building a Magento 2 store for a specific industry like plumbing, having accurate pricing and estimation tools is very helpful. You can integrate solutions like the best plumbing estimating software to improve quote accuracy and streamline the pricing process, making your store more efficient and professional.

Re: Building a Magento 2 server

To build a Magento 2 server, you need to set up a reliable hosting environment with the right software like Apache or Nginx, PHP, and MySQL. Make sure the server is optimized for performance and security to handle online store traffic smoothly. Planning this well is just as important as precise work done by a commercial estimating services company that carefully manages project details for best results.
