Setting root magento folder as pub

I have a warning in admin saying that the server isn’t configured correctly and looking into it I need to set the root Magento folder as pub for security reasons but for some reason I cannot get it into my head on how to do it.

Can someone please give me an idiots guide on how to do it?

I have my own server with Centos 7.9 & Plesk with nginx.

Should also mention that I have several domains on the server with two of them running M1 sites.

For those of you who have Plesk go to the domain hosting settings & add /pub to the document root.

I believe cPanel users can do something similar.

Warning in admin now gone.
