Two Magento apps with single Database and Base url Issue

hi guys,i just need a help from you people. Am trying to connect two magento web applications with single database.its was done successfully but the problem am faceing is base url. i have two Magento applications with single base url.when am trying to open the both website url its redirecting to one url Because i have one Database with single base url.Can you people guide on this issue.

i think you need two websites configured,

then separate base url and use website code
