Why is Google recommending Alpha software for bundling?

My Google Insights scores are really bad. One of the things that Google keeps saying is that instead of using the native Magento 2 bundling, I should be using Baler instead.

I checked it out, and they're very clear: it's not even beta software. It's Alpha software, and it hasn't had an update pushed in 7 months or so. Why is Google recommending this software? Is there a stable release that I'm not seeing, or is some unsupported Alpha software really better than built in bundling?

It is being actively developed but still in alpha state as you mention.

Until it’s production ready, I’d recommend using Magepack for Magento which achieves incredible improvements for JavaScript performance.

Try contacting support. Maybe its a bug or youre missing smth.
