Updating to a new Magento 2 AMP Theme

Hello, my name is Alex. I'm upgrading our e-commerce site from Magento 1 to Magento 2. Also I would like to install new Magento 2 AMP Theme (since I need new theme anyway).

I was wondering if anyone knows of any AMP Theme related issues? 

Would I be able to use new different extensions?

Is it worth getting AMP Template?

I noticed that there are not too many Magento 2 AMP Theme's out there, I found under 10 and it got me thinking... If anyone knows, please advice.
