What type of theme should I purchase?

Recently, I installed Magento 2.1.5 on my website.
I wanted to purchase a theme on themeforest.net, but I didn't really know what kind of theme I had to choose.
So I just bought an HTML theme, and then I found out that HTML themes are meant for developers, which I am not.

On themeforest.net, I can choose between Wordpress, HTML, CMS and eCommerce and some more. 
Magento is under the catagory eCommerce. 
So should I purchase one of the themes in the eCommerce - Magento category?

Hopefully someone can help me.

Yes, you should purchase a theme from eCommerce -> Magento category only, and only those which are compatible with Magento 2.1. Also, maybe it's better to choose Authors which have a lot purchases and good rating, because there is a lot of poor themes and authors.

There are several pros and cons of using a ready-to-use theme. However, if you are looking for a quick work around then you should be looking for Magento v2 themes. 

You can find them on Magento Marketplace - which is the official Magento place, or you can try third party websites such as themeforest.

Regarding your store in Magento 2.1.5, so you should choose Magento 2.1 Theme.

To choose suitable theme, you have 2 ways:

+ Select theme in eCommerce - Magento category: Ves Fresh, Ves Evolution 

+ Author: Choose Brand of Author like m2themes or Venustheme high trust in their product

+ Product: Check detail of theme information about feature, version compatible in Magento 2.1
