Hello I'm just arrived on magento and i'm already stuck 
My issue is that my client would like to have on the left a category « advanced research »,where he can filler the information like:the trends the model etc...
I follow for a long time now the instructions of lot of tutorials and i can produce none results even if i touch the « attributes »;i have only succed to have this type of research if the customer already enter the begining of a product.
So my request is:someone can help or guide me?or tell me if it's possible without « plug-in »
