Catalog price and other data missing after saving a sample product on a stock M2.2.4 install.

As the title states, I am having an issue with M2 sample data. When I access a sample data provided configurable product and save it, pricing and some other attributes become blank.

Does the sample data need some action to be taken against it before I can manage it in the product manager?

For configurable product price, it depends on the simple product so it will show only readonly,

In Magento 2, You can't modify Configurable product price and qty related data,

You need to modify all Simple product of configurable. Every child of configurable product you need to modify for your issue.

This is the only way to resolve your issue.
