I don't want my gallery to become a slideshow. No matter what I change in view.xml gallery vars it still plays.
I also would rather it do the magnifier than the full screen and can't figure out how to make that change.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes I am using a custom theme. Though I don't see any changes to the files, I guess I could turn it off and see if it works then.
Edited to Add: Yup there's the cause. There is something in my theme that's doing it. Got it working.
