Magento 2 - Applying Surcharges to payment methods

Currently scoping out an M2 build, and I can't seem to decide on the best way forward regarding payment surcharges (differing amounts/percentages for credit, cash, etc.)

Are there any decent plugins on the market, or would I be advised to build my own module to handle this? If there is a decent plugin out there (I haven't been able to find one), I am not averse to forking it and customising it to our needs.

You can use this extension for Surcharge, Surcharge or Additional Fee extension allows you to charge customer surcharge or additional fee or handling fee for specific country/countries or payment method/methods or both. The additional fee could be a fixed amount or percentage of the basket subtotal.
