Magento as an Identity Provider?

Does Magento 2 provide the ability to act as an Identity Provider?

If so where can I find the steps to enable? or is there an extension that can enable this?

Our App Architecture is somewhat headless utilizing AEM for category lists/product details but checkout / shopping cart within Magento.

I found this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/28729671/using-magento-as-an-sso-provider  but didn't know if there were other options.

I'm the one that replied on that StackOverflow thread.

There is no Magento SAML extension to turn it in an Identity Provider.
But it can be done using simpleSAMLphp.
