Newsletter check opt in box in by default

Hi guys,

I am trying to work out how to set the newsletter subscription check box to ticked by default. I have found lots of tutorials for magento 1.X but nothing for magenta 2 as yet,

Just override register.phtml file inside your theme,

create file,

app/design/frontend/{Vendor}/{themename}/Magento_Customer/templates/form/register.phtml

Keep below code in your regtister.phtml file,
