Our client is looking for the following functionality. I'm just wondering how feasible it is, and how I'd go about doing it.
- Products have two stock management types: "in stock", and "in stock with supplier"
- Let's say the customer orders 10 products that are "in stock" and 5 products that are "in stock with supplier"
- When the customer pays for the products, the order will be split into two: one order containing the initial 10 products, and another order containing the extra 5 that are only in stock with the supplier
Effectively, when a user orders a product, the system should split the order into two in order to categorise the products based on their attributes.
Please let me know if you know of any way that this is possible as we're really struggling currently.
