Video on Product page showing an image

Hi,

We are using Luma theme.

The problem is our customer added a youtube video using API Key, and it displays the video in the admin area, however on front end it displays thumbnail.

I would like to make the video displayed in the product slider on product page?

I believe the phtml file is

vendor/magento/module-catalog/view/frontend/templates/product/view/gallery.phtml

Where you ever able to figure this out?  I'm having the exact same problem and cannot resolve the issue.
