adding product attributes into a transactional email

I have 3 product attributes that I would like to get onto a transactional email. Attribute codes are: charity, size and name. I've tried a few things but with no luck. Can anyone help me please? I'm fairly new to Magento so just trying to work it all out.

You can add vaiables to your transactional emails this way

{{var something}}

The "Something" must be predefined. There are a number of blocks that you can use depending on the email. 

A good way to view is to go to 

system->config->transactional emails and load an email into the database. You will see the variables
