What is the best way to import large number of data into Magento 2.2.? We have over 800,000 products, 7200 Categories and 10-15 custom attributes.

For this bulky item and large catalog sizing - i would suggest you to use Unirgy product import/export rapidflow extension.

I can also recommend extension Mag-Manager. It allows to work locally (offline) using PC resources and not to overload your server (then you can just sync). It was tested to handle fine import of 1M products. There is free version to give a try.
