Braintree 3DS 2.0 Support

Does anyone know if work is underway to upgrade the Braintree integration to support the latest SDK versions for 3DS 2.0

3DS 2.0 starts this month and will be mandated for certain cards from September 2019.

Some card issuers may start requiring 3DS 2.0 from April 2019, which may mean that card transactions are declined until 3DS 2.0 is included.

Any word from Magento on this. Do we need to start planning for support not being ready for september?

Q: "Are you aware whether the Braintree payments module will be updated to support 3DS 2.0 in the next Magento release in time for the September deadline?"

A: "Yes, it will. Braintree module already updated to support JS SDK v3 and soon we will implement 3DS 2.0 for Braintree"
