Can't get category tree and categories

The code found in this GitHub account page indicates that I can paste this into the root directory of my Magento site. I need to get the category tree and categories, but they are not easily exported from my account. Can you please indicate where I can paste this code into my website?

This Code for Magento 1.x to import categories :-

To run this code I made some changes.

Make folder and file  to your magentoshop ->programmatically->export_category.php

Make folder import  in var/import

Then run your http://localhost/magentoshop/programmatically/export_category.php

You get all category with their path in var/import/catwithid.csv
