Categories Not Showing Up Frontend Magento 2.1.3

Please help!!!!! I installed a new clean version of Magento 2.1.3. I have added several categories and sub-categories and added 1 item to test it.
The categories do not show up in the front end; in the home page... what am I doing wrong?

Found the solution!!!!! Turned out I created the categories in the same root where the default category was... when I moved the categories and made them children of the default category, it worked.
I have been working on Magento for many, many years and made such a *dumb* mistake... arghhh! Glad the issue is fixed tough! =D
