Deleted products still visible on frontend

I have deleted all the products previously listed on the website, and imported a CSV of abt 250 new products. The backend shows the new products only however, on the website front-end I can still see the deleted products only and none of the new ones. The links for deleted products leads to a 404 error. And I am manually able to open the URL for the new products.
Have already tried re-indexing, refreshing cache . The settings for the new products are all set to visible and enabled.

ok i understand the problem you are facing ! so just to confirm do you have multiple website or multiple store in your current Magento Setup ?

As you mention you deleted the products , but it might possible that its still exist in another website or store - so could you please check the same ?

I have a single store and single website only

Please  clean cache,flush cache.and reindex.

Rerun indexing and refresh all caches. I'm sure someone can comment on specifically "which" caches and "which" indexes, but usually on small stores its fine to flush all of them .
