Email reports not working

Email reports not working

I have multiple email reports activated. On March 18th they stopped sending. I have verified that it is still active, and even tried to send a test email to no avail.

What can be causing this?

Re: Email reports not working

It would be a good idea to check and see if your cron jobs are running into any errors or problems.

Re: Email reports not working

My cron jobs? I was unprecise: I am referring to the automatic email reports that is sent from Magento Business Intelligence.

Re: Email reports not working

Ahh, that is a helpful piece of information.

Are you on a paid version? If so, have you opened a support ticket and gotten any feedback?

Re: Email reports not working

I am on a paid version, but Magento BI has stopped providing customer service. Instead they are referring to Forums. Please advice Smiley Sad

Re: Email reports not working

I haven't found much in the way of troubleshooting suggestions from Magento on BI e-mail delivery issues. The closest that I've come across are steps for creating automated e-mail summaries: https://support.magento.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016730911-Creating-automated-email-summaries

If you've followed these instructions, you aren't getting the mail, and you've tried switching e-mail addresses to another e-mail provider (ie. sending to a gmail or other private address for testing purposes) and still aren't getting the mail. I'd suggest checking the mail headers on the last messages that you did receive in order to see where the mail was originating from.

If the mail is coming from your server, it could indeed be an issue of a cron job or something else server related.

If these are coming from Magento BI directly, and they're not in your spam/junk mail folder, I can suggest whitelisting the domain / servers / e-mail address that Magento is sending these e-mails from.

If the e-mails are sent by Magento's SaaS BI product "from" your domain, you may need to adjust some DNS Records like SPF and DKIM to suggest that Magento is allowed to send e-mails as your domain.

Unfortunately, I don't have a solid answer for you, but as no one else has weighed in yet, I thought I'd at least try to get you heading down a path toward a solution. I hope that you're able to resolve your issue soon!
