How to translate front-end only on magento 2?

I have read many articles but most of article are talking about translation of whole site, including front-end and back-end.

However, I just want to keep English as back-end main language.

How to translate magento front-end?

Besides, is there any guideline for newbie with zero programming knowledge?

as it is very hard for me to study those guideline
