Image Import in Product import not working - Hangs browser

When I upload the product csv without images, it works properly. But if I add any image in the csv then it does not work. I already have all the images in pub/media/import folder and specify the same while importing. 
When I mention the image names in the csv then it hangs in the Please Wait screen and then the browser keeps on consuming my Computer RAM till it crashes down and I have to restart my system. 
Also if I go to Import History, such imports shows the status "In Process". http://prntscr.com/kb4mcd

Kindly check your image import with only SKU and image field in CSV. Check using SKU and image field raise the same issue or not.

Hi, yes I tested only with sku and image field, but the issue persists
