M2.1.5 Negative quantity not allowed, validate issue

I have a problem with a product that hase a negative stock it is unable to save it in the admin.

The JavaScript validate-digits rule gives an error 'Please enter a valid number in this field.' but it is allowed to have backorders.

How do i fix this
