Re: Magento 2.3.1 problem Google Analytics

There could be a lot at play here.

Have you checked that the GA property has e-commerce enabled?

Have you used the GA Tag checking chrome extension to ensure the tag is outputting correctly?

Typically I would be using Google Tag Manager with analytics for this kind of stuff. There is a great extension by Annowave that offers lots of function as is very easy to get setup.

Hope these help to get you started.

Yes as Rixxo said likely an extension (there are several) to fully integrate analytics is the most straightforward approach to insure all events are reported including checkout. Also insure the "eCommerce tracking is turned on in the analytics account". Another good tool here that may prove helpful for you: https://support.google.com/analytics/troubleshooter/7404984

Thank you for suggestions and help.
Are GA issues magento typical?
Does the proposed module address these problems?
