Magento 2.3.4 Configurable Product Issue - Options not showing

I am creating a configurable product with 7 color and 7 size options.

If all the child products are in stock, then all the color and size options are displayed and can be selected.

If for example Black Small and Medium are in stock, and size Large is out of stock, then only Small and Medium will be displayed as available, even if size XL is in stock.

Similarly, if Black Small is out of stock, but all other sizes are in stock, then no sizes will be shown at all - the out of stock (quantity=0) size prevents all other sizes beyond that size from being shown.

It's not that they're greyed out or anything, they just don't show at all.

I cannot find a solution.

Version is community M2.3.4

Hi @col_b2 ,

Navigate to Stores => Configuration => Catalog => Inventory => Stock Options => Display Out of stock products to Yes and Save config and then refresh cache and check on front-end.

Out of stock items already set to display.

This was an issue specifically with dropdown options.

I changed it to visual swatches, works now.  Don't know what the issue was specifically with dropdown options.

Can you please send screenshot of associated simple products from admin panel?

Also, please confirm associated product's qty, price and weight fields and do reindex after switch it back to drop down and check again. If still options are missing then please check console for any front-end errors.
