Magento 2.3.5 code backup trying to use a lot of storage

Hello I really hope you can help me with this

Working in Magento 2.3.5 I used to create backups with command:

sudo bin/magento setup:backup --media --code --db

I just installed Magento in a new server with the same configuration. Media and db backups are working fine, 32mb and 2mb respectively. But when I try with "code" it says 

Warning: necessary space for backup is 1065005.2246094MB, but your free disc space is 736904MB.

That doesn't have any sense, the whole Magento file is only 1.5GB. And the server is 15GB

Any idea of what is happening?

Hi @alexcampuz7f4c,

Can you try backing up only codebase and check if we still get the issue or not. 

And also cross check just in case you have any zip/tar files related to anything in your codebase.

Sometimes we do have backups resides on our server.
