I am trying to determine if there is an issue with my install or with my host. When trying to install modules with the content manager I am getting a php memory limit error while running the readiness check. I have changed the php.ini file to 2G and made it recursive. I checked the phpinfo.php, local memory is 768 and master is 2G.
Another issue that popped was while running the setup:di:compile i got another memory limit error. I tried a couple other solutions I found while researching but nothing worked.
I dont know if these are related issues. I checked with my host before and they checked my php.ini file and said everything was set correctly so it must be a Magento issue. I am on shared hosting.
