Hello
i am using Magento ver. 2.2.1.
i change root category from default to new one i created
and after that day menu not showing up in frontend
i has been waiting for more than 5 days
please help it's urgent

Whenever you want to assign a new parent category for your store. Please follow these steps.
1. go to Stores
2. Select All stores
3. Click on your store name ( Not store view Name )
4. Change Root Category to the new category you created and save the configuration

Please do re-indexing and flush the cache as it is suggested.

Please try to run below command from magento root,
php bin/magento indexer:reindex php bin/magento cache:flush

i returned back the root category to default one and i made the re-index and cache flush but still no thing changed

Disable varnish cache in Stores/Configuration/Advanced/System
Then do a magento cache:clean and magento cache:flush in command line.

Works for me disabling Varnish cache.
