Previously i got the same issue and i resolved it using this.

Replace this app/design/frontend/vendor/theme/Magento_Catalog/templates/product/view/gallery.phtml

With this file vendor/magento/module-catalog/view/frontend/templates/product/view/gallery.phtml

Try this and let me know.

i have same error, it looks like the css is affected
