Fresh install of Magento2. All folder permissions set @770 with files @660. When I enable minifying and merging of either or both CSS and JS. I get the spinning wheel of DOOM on the frontend and backend. Shortly after that, mySQL server crashes. After I let the mySQL server restart, I have to go into phpMyAdmin and change settings back to un-merged and un-minified, and the site comes back up.
I am running a custom theme, but the above still happens when I am using the Luna theme.
Is this a known issue with Magento2?
