I create a product to download. FREE. Files were uploaded to Magento. After order and go through check out rigmarole, you get an email with links.
Links don't work.
Q1. When I create a new Product and enter a file to upload for a Link, where do these files go when I upload?
Q2. Is it possible permission setting on website cause link failure?
Q3. Item order is stuck in PENDING. Why is that? It is Free, download as much as you want.
Q4. Should I change from upload files to use a URL and upload files to my site for greater control?

Edit: I changed to URL and it made no difference. Links don't work in email
