Products not showing on frontend after reindexing

Hi all,

I'm having difficulties with displaying products on the frontend of our store.

Overnight we discovered some productes (which were enabled in the backend) where gone from the product catalog on the frontend.
I decided to reindex to hopefully get them back, unluckily now all products are gone from the frontend.

I don't have a clue where to start looking, I've used:

indexer:reindex

indexer:reindex catalog_category_product

cache:clean

cache:clean full_page
Multiple times without any succes so far.

Any help would be really appreciated!

I've seen a related problem (https://community.magento.com/t5/Magento-2-x-Technical-Issues/Products-disappearing-from-catalogue-a...). But too bad that didn't work out for me..

Upgrading from Magento 2.1.15 to Magento 2.2.6 was the solution here. How the problem occurred is still a mystery..

Although upgrading didn't went flawlessly we managed to upgrade in about 2 hours. We had some difficulties with our template which needed an update aswel.
